Wentworthville U14 Girls Match Report

Round 13 Wentworthville 26 - Kellyville 28

We took the field with 8 players and received the ball from the kick off and completed our set. Kellyville hit down our edge and posted in the first points and converted it. Our girls played out our set and Phoenix posted in a try out to the left of the post. The conversion by Charleez unsuccessful. Esei and Elena made a lot of great metres. Saviour made some good tackles with Tameka down the left of the field. Charleez did a great tackle on a sure runaway try. Tauaiupolu took her scoots from dummy half and Hemu took several hit ups to help out our forwards.

We went into half-time up 14-12. The girls tried their best and were in the game with 6 minutes to go up 26-24, we needed to tackle for one set. From the kick off the opposing player ran through our team and scored out wide, beating us on the buzzer. We scored 5 tries and converted 3. The girls knew the teams from here on in are going to play their hardest to stay in the top 4. An unlucky loss today girls, but we will learn from this and use this in preparation for our up and coming games going into the finals.

(Phoenix, Elena Tauaiupolu, Charleez,Tameka, Saviour, Esei and Hemu).
